FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX OF VALENCIA, SPAIN | |||||||||||||||||||||||

Photo © Henry Marcel 2007 The Spanish city of Valencia will hold a formula 1 grand prix if the Partido Popular remains in power after the May 27th local and regional elections. This was announced by Francisco Camps, president of the Autonomous Community of Valencia and FOA President Bernie Ecclestone, on May 10th, 2007. The race is to be held on an urban circuit of 5181 m and is likely to be called the Mediterranean Grand Prix. This event will undoubteldy raise international interest in the Levante capital and may even revive the local property market. The city of Valencia is also scene of the 32nd America's Cup, a major world sport event of 2007.
